89.5fm in New York and New Jersey is home to WSOU Seton hall pirate radio. playing metal, hardcore, and punk when no one else was really trying to. Showing off local bands and hometown heroes, when it still felt like "regular radio" was pay to play. looking at their semi-pro DJs rotation of songs 5 at a time and being surprised at how things have and haven't changed.

Episode 48 - Blatant Rip-offs

When is imitation not the sincerest form of flattery? It's usually right about the time someone takes your idea and pretends that it was theirs. We look at artists that took someone else's ideas and ran. Whether it was music, lyrics, or even an entire identity, these artists are guilty of being rip-offs. Who did it first? Who did it best? Who cares? apparently we care for some strange reason...
